Overview

InterScribe takes security seriously. All network traffic between your browser, agents, and InterScribe servers is protected by TLS encryption, and real‑time content is encrypted using AES‑256. Data is stored in secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments located in Canada and the United States. InterScribe complies with privacy laws such as PIPEDA (Canada) and GDPR (EU).

🔐 How InterScribe Protects Your Data

  • TLS 1.3 (with fallback to TLS 1.2) All data in transit—between dashboards, APIs, agents, and servers—is encrypted using TLS 1.3 when supported. If a user’s browser or device does not support it, the system automatically falls back to TLS 1.2, ensuring continued secure communication.

  • AES‑256 encryption at rest Audio, captions, and user data are encrypted when stored on servers.

  • Secure infrastructure InterScribe runs on AWS, which provides redundant data centers, firewalls, and DDoS protection.

  • Role‑based access controls Administrators can assign permissions so users only access what they need. See the Roles & Permissions guide for more.

  • Subprocessor vetting Third‑party providers used for speech‑to‑text (e.g., AWS, OpenAI, Deepgram) and payments (Stripe) are contractually obligated to meet security standards.

  • Model improvement program controls InterScribe may use anonymized data to improve AI models. Clients can opt out, though this may result in higher subscription fees.

🧾 Account Security

Keeping your account secure is a shared responsibility. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials. If you suspect unauthorized use, notify InterScribe immediately. Recommended best practices:

  • Use strong, unique passwords for your InterScribe account
  • Enable multi‑factor authentication if available
  • Limit admin access to only those who need it
  • Never share API keys or Agent Keys publicly—store them securely
