Listeners read captions and listen without an account. A free account keeps what they save and lets them take part.

What an account adds

  • Highlights and notes on every line, on their phone and their computer, after the session ends.
  • Chat, questions and polls, where you turn them on.
  • Download transcript after the session, where you allow it.
  • My Sessions: the sessions they joined.
  • Favorite portals: listeners save your portal to find it again.

How listeners sign in

When a listener does something that needs an account, the page asks them to sign in and keeps the captions running meanwhile. They can:

  • Select Continue with Google.
  • Enter their email and select Send code. The 6-digit code in the email signs them in, or creates their account if they don't have one. The code works for 10 minutes.
  • Select Use a password instead.

Passes

When your workspace uses partnership passes, the session's Access settings show Require a partnership pass. With it on, people sign in and need a valid pass before they can open the session. Your portal shows Pass required on that session, and the app says You need a partnership pass to access this event. to people without one.

Where a session's chat or questions are open only to pass holders, listeners without a pass see Pass required.
