🧭 Overview

InterScribe’s Privacy Policy (effective May 15, 2024; updated May 26, 2025) outlines how the platform collects, uses, and safeguards personal data. InterScribe is committed to complying with global privacy regulations, including:

  • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation – EU/EEA)
  • PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act – Canada)
  • CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act – USA)

This article summarizes key policy points and highlights your rights and responsibilities when using the platform.

📥 What Data Is Collected?

InterScribe collects two categories of data:

  • Information you provide directly Includes name, email address, organization, session notes, custom messages, and content you create during sessions.

  • Automatically collected usage data Includes IP address, device/browser type, pages visited, microphone/device IDs, error diagnostics, and feature usage patterns.

Other collection points include mobile app usage, support interactions, and being referenced in collaborative content (e.g., tags, shared notes).

⚙️ How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used to:

  • Deliver and maintain platform functionality
  • Manage your account and login sessions
  • Process payments and subscriptions
  • Respond to customer support tickets
  • Detect abuse, ensure platform stability, and improve service quality

  • Consent — for marketing communications and AI training (can be withdrawn anytime)
  • Legal obligation — for compliance with law enforcement or tax authorities

InterScribe does not sell personal data. We only share it with trusted subprocessors under strict data protection agreements, including:

  • AWS – Cloud infrastructure
  • OpenAI, Deepgram – AI transcription and translation
  • Stripe – Payment processing

In rare cases, data may be disclosed to comply with legal obligations. A full list of subprocessors is available upon request: privacy@interscribe.io
