Every listener can set the captions up the way they read best.
Reading settings
On the listener page, select Settings and open Reading:
- Text size: Smaller text and Larger text, with a Preview line.
- Theme: Clean, Soft, Night or Contrast. Night and Contrast are dark; Soft is light.
- Font: Sans, Serif, Mono or Readable.
- Weight: Regular, Semibold or Bold.
- Line spacing: Normal, Relaxed or Loose.
- Mark changes: briefly underlines words that changed after the listener first saw them.
Reset to defaults puts reading, caption details and video back as they were.
Caption details
Under Caption details:
- Speaker names labels who is speaking when it changes.
- Confidence dot shows how sure the recognizer was of each line: green, amber or red.
- Mark unsure words tints words the recognizer doubted.
Fewer distractions
Focus mode shows the captions full screen. Under More, Only my highlights hides the lines the listener has not highlighted.
When captions run ahead of a video
A listener watching your stream online chooses Watching online under Video and sets Caption delay to hold the captions back to match the video. At the venue, they choose In the room.
Asking for an accommodation
- A sign language interpreter can appear beside the captions. See Sign language interpreters.
- A listener can ask you for an accommodation (larger text, a transcript, sign language) with Ask the organizer. See When listeners ask you for help.
- After the session, listeners can download the transcript when you allow it.
