Every session has one language that people speak on stage. From it, InterScribe makes captions and translations in your audience's languages.
Languages and floor language · DisponívelSet the speaker's language
In the session form, under Speaker language, choose the language people speak at this event. This is also the session's floor language in the Operator Console, and you can change it during the stream. See Floor language.
Pick the accent
For some languages the form asks Does the speaker have an accent? Choosing the variant closest to the speaker's accent, where one is available, can improve caption quality. For example:
- English: American, British, Australian, Indian or New Zealand.
- French: from France, or Canadian.
- Portuguese: Brazilian, or European.
For an accent with no variant of its own, captions use the standard language.
Languages without live captions
Some languages are listed under Without live captions. When the speaker uses one of them, there are no live captions, but listeners can still get interpretation.
What your audience can read and hear
- Captions and text translation are on in every language. You set nothing. See AI captions and translations.
- An AI voice speaks the languages you choose under Interpretation. See AI voices.
- Your own interpreters cover the Human interpreted languages you add under Interpretation. See Human interpreters.
- The speaker's own voice is a listening option when you turn on Let listeners hear the original audio.
Your audience chooses their own language when they arrive. You do not pick it for them.
