Listeners on a language stop hearing its AI voice. The channel's captions usually carry on.
Most likely: the voice was stopped or paused
Check: the channel's row in the Console.
- CC ONLY, under Captions only, means the language has no voice: someone stopped the AI voice on it.
- Paused means someone paused that language.
- voice paused means every AI voice was paused from the bar at the bottom.
Fix:
- Stopped: open the channel's ⋯ menu and select Turn on the AI voice for the language.
- Paused: open its ⋯ menu and select Resume the language.
- Every voice paused: select Resume AI voices in the bar at the bottom.
A voice resumes from the live edge: what was said in the meantime is not spoken.
Next: the voice is down
Check: the row says voice down: people are on the audio but the voice is not running.
Fix: open the channel's ⋯ menu and select Restart this channel. Its listeners hear nothing for a few seconds while it restarts.
Next: the voice is reconnecting
Check: the row says Reconnecting, with the next try and the attempt number. It may name the reason: out of credits or provider unavailable.
Fix: InterScribe retries by itself. Select Retry now to try at once. If it says out of credits, select Buy credit hours to add hours to your account. See Hours and credits.
Not a fault: the voice is on standby
standby on an AI voice means nobody is listening to it: the voice starts when a listener turns on audio, and stops 30 s after the last one leaves.
