Firewalls and content filters can let InterScribe's website through and still block the live audio connection. Send this page to your IT team a week before your event.

Notes
- Your own domain. If your audience opens your portal at your own domain, that domain must open too. See Portals, branding and your own domain.
- Who needs which. Listeners need
scrb.live,*.scrb.liveand*.interscribe.io: their pages and your portal are onscrb.live, and live captions come from*.interscribe.io. Allow these on the guest network too. Your team (the computer that sends the sound, the Operator Console and interpreters in the Booth) needs all of them plusinterscribe.io. Everyone also needs the live-audio media and relay servers (the*.livekit.cloudrows) and their ports. The list can change; this page always shows the current one. - No wildcards? If your filter cannot allow wildcard names, ask us for the exact live-audio server names for your region.
- Wi-Fi sign-in pages. A network that asks people to accept terms blocks everything until they do. Give the computer that sends the sound a network without one.
- VPNs. Turn off any VPN on the computer that sends the sound and on interpreters' computers.
Test it from your network
From a computer on the network you will use, open the connection check and select Run the check. It tests InterScribe's addresses, its website and every path live audio can take from that computer, and the result names the step that is blocked. Its Email the allow-list to IT button writes this list into an email. See The connection check.
The result also offers independent tests that run on other companies' sites: a live-audio test on a partner's test page and public speed tests. A filtered network can block them even when InterScribe itself gets through, so a failed independent test is a reason to look further, not proof that InterScribe is blocked.
Other things to check
What you need lists the computers and systems the agents run on. The IT pre-event checklist puts the network steps on one sheet.
