The days before
The hour before
  • The computer that sends the sound is on, plugged in and cabled, and the agent shows it is connected. See Sound desk checklist.

  • In the Console, Run a sound check ends with audio heard. See Standby, sound check and auto-start.

  • The connection badge at the bottom right of the Console reads Good or Fair. See The connection badge.

  • You know how the session starts: Auto-start at its start time, or someone presses Go live.

  • Open the audience link yourself on a phone and pick a language.
While you are live
  • Someone watches the Console: the connection badge and the lag next to each channel. See Captions arrive late.

  • Someone answers Backstage requests, if you use them. See Backstage requests.

  • Nobody installs updates on the computer that sends the sound.
Afterwards

If something goes wrong on the day, the troubleshooting section starts from what you see.
