Live AI voice translation: hear the speaker in your own language
Each guest picks a language on their own phone and hears the speaker in a natural AI voice, with captions on screen. No app, no headsets, no interpreter to schedule.
- No app needed
- Captions alongside
What the listener sees
Tap a language. Press Listen. Put the phone away.
The Listen in list shows every way to hear the session, tagged the same way everywhere: Interpreter for your own people, AI voice for a natural voice, and Device voice, read aloud by the phone, for the other languages.
Keeps playing with the screen off
The phone treats the voice like any audio: it keeps going with the screen locked, and the lock screen names the session.
Captions stay on
Miss a word and read it. Guests can show the speaker’s own words under each line too.
What you do as the organiser
Choose the voices. We run them.
- 1Pick languages, or On-DemandName the languages people will listen to, or choose On-Demand: any language we voice, up to the hours you have.
- 2Stop a voice from the consoleEach voice has its own menu in the operator console. Stop one and it stays stopped until you restart it or the session next goes live.
- 3Hours, not surprisesA session that is already live is never stopped when hours run out. AI voices stop 15 minutes later; captions continue. Nothing extra is charged unless you buy more.
How it works
Step 1
The speaker talks
Sound comes from your sound desk through the streamer agent, or from a computer’s microphone in a small room.
Step 2
InterScribe listens and speaks
Each sentence is transcribed, translated and spoken in a natural voice, in every language someone chose.
Step 3
The guest presses Listen
They hear the voice on their own phone, with captions on screen. Nothing to install.
Good to know
What AI voice won’t do
- 1AI voice has its own language listAI voice speaks fewer languages than captions cover. Every other language can still be heard, read aloud by the guest’s phone (Device voice), on every plan.
- 2A few seconds behindIt waits for the end of a sentence before speaking, so it runs a little behind the speaker. Fine for a talk, not for quick back-and-forth. A steady upload connection at the venue matters more than strong Wi-Fi.
- 3Names need a handAdd speaker names, places and special terms to the glossary beforehand, so the voice says them right.
- 4Not a personWhen a moment needs a human voice, bring your own interpreter into the booth. Guests see the difference by the tag.
Which plans include it
AI voice by plan
Each language someone listens to uses voice hours, by default only while someone listens. Device voice is included everywhere.
| Feature | Community | Launch | Engage | Elevate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI voice hours a month | Add any time | 5 h | 20 h | 50 h |
| Device read-aloud | Included | Included | Included | Included |
Works well with

- Your interpretersYour people for the languages you staff.
- Summaries and replayThe words stay after the session.

Questions about AI voice
Ask us something elseDoes it sound like a robot?
It is a natural AI voice, not the flat voice a phone reads with. The best way to judge is to listen: hear a sample on our home page.
Can guests choose between an interpreter and AI voice?
Yes. Both sit in the same Listen in list with their tag, and guests can switch at any time.
What happens if we run out of voice hours?
A session that is already live is never stopped when hours run out. AI voices stop 15 minutes later; captions continue. Buy more hours and the voice carries on; until you do, AI voice stays off for your whole workspace. Captions never stop.
Does it work for people watching online?
Yes. People watching online open the same listener page and choose their language the same way.
