Origin Story

Started from a real need, not a trend.

The original idea came from traveling with the founder's mom and attending conferences together, where she often could not follow because translation was not available.

To make sure she could participate, the founder would step away from the crowd, start a WhatsApp call, and interpret the speaker live through the phone, sentence by sentence, while the event was still happening.

That happened again and again across multiple conferences. Seeing someone you love sit in the same room but still feel left out made one truth impossible to ignore: there had to be a better way.

Extensive research across existing products and enterprise tools showed a major gap: despite available technology, there was still no broadly accessible and affordable solution people could just use when interpretation was needed.

That gap became the reason InterScribe was built.

Journey

The InterScribe timeline

In one global conference, InterScribe already supported around 90 languages, but a participant requested one we did not have. During the break, the founder rushed to implement a new integration in a few hours and brought it back live. The participant's response was simple: they just wanted to understand. That moment made the mission personal all over again and cemented our commitment to close every possible language gap.

    Prototype created and validated

    InterScribe started as a prototype built to help the founder's mom follow conferences in real time, after months of manually interpreting for her over WhatsApp calls during live sessions.

  2. 2024

    Church deployment and critical turning point

    After iterative improvements, InterScribe was deployed in a church community and received strong feedback. During a global conference, a missing language request led to a same-day integration that reinforced the core mission.

  3. 2025

    Team formed and enterprise foundation built

    A broader team joined to build a robust enterprise-grade platform with stronger reliability, controls, and scalability for production events.

  4. Today

    Expansion across sectors

    InterScribe continues expanding across churches, corporate events, and other global audiences with a focus on access, quality, and affordability.
